Kintsugi Hope

At York Community Church we believe our God walks with us in every circumstance of life.

In the Bible in Isaiah 43 v 1-3 The Lord says “Don’t be afraid, I’ve redeemed you. I’ve called you by name. You’re mine. When you’re in over your head, I’ll be there with you. When you’re in rough waters, you will not go down. When you’re between a rock and a hard place, it won’t be a dead end- Because I am God, your personal God.” (from the Message translation)

God is deeply interested in our wellbeing – physical, emotional, mental and spiritual.

YCC has recently partnered with the national charity Kintsugi Hope who work with communities through the local church with an attitude of humility, not to judge, fix or rescue, but to come alongside and love one another.

The vision of Kintsugi Hope Groups is to create places where people can experience:

  • Safety and support where there is no shame or embarrassment in struggling.
  • An increase in self-worth, confidence, and well-being.
  • A deeper understanding of the reality of God’s love for them.
  • Clear pathways to receive additional support if needed.

The 12 weeks of content cover themes such as honesty, anxiety, depression, anger, perfectionism, self-acceptance, forgiveness, healthy relationships…

We have all been broken in one way or another and can all learn from each other.

If you would be interested in joining this 12-week group, then do contact the church office to be connected to one of our trained volunteer facilitators.
